“Ocean & Sea” investigates water and attempts to capture its essence in a symbolic manner. Created with rigid materials and marks the drawing still communicates its subject matter despite having very little in common with what it depicts. This drawing questions how far you can remove a symbol from the tangible traits of what it signifies while still retaining that connection.
